Religious School-Ḥoquerim and B’nai Mitzvah

Grades 3-6 — Our oquerim ( explorers) program allows for students to continue to connect with Jewish values and culture, while carving out time to dig deeper into Hebrew skills, prayer knowledge, and an understanding of Torah, Holidays, Jewish history and customs as they prepare for B’nai Mitzvah.

 ** Please note that Wednesdays are not required for third grade students but are strongly encouraged. ** 

 

Grade 7– Students in the B’nai Mitzvah Class will focus on preparation and study for their

B’nai Mitzvah.  Class time will focus on service leadership (prayer leading), the development of a mitzvah project, prayer meaning and individualized tutoring for Torah and haftorah reading. For a full list of B’nai Mitzvah requirements please reference our parent handbook. 

 New this year! Our 7th graders will step up into supper club and eat dinner with our high school students. If they are interested in staying through the class portion of supper club they are welcome to. Please note that supper club meets only on the first and third Wednesday of the month.
