SOCIAL ACTION COMMITTEE
Before the pandemic, the Social Action Committee prepared and served a meal at the Bangor Homeless Shelter the 2nd Wednesday of every month.
While we hope to do so again in the future, for now we continue this vital work by contributing to the Bangor Area Homeless Shelter.
Your contributions can be made directly through the “Donate” page here; just select “Soup Kitchen” as the designated fund.

As the Union for Reform Judaism states:

Social justice and advocacy are among the central tenets of Reform Judaism.

To be a Reform Jew is to hear the voice of the prophets in our head; to be engaged in the ongoing work of tikkun olam; to strive to improve the world in which we live; to be God’s partners in standing up for the voiceless and fixing what is broken in our society.
