KESHER

Kesher ("Connection") is an egalitarian, Jewish

religious education program, serving young people from pre-K to B'nei Mitzvah and beyond.

The goal of Kesher is to create an environment in which students can connect deeply with Jewish text and tradition, with their Jewish identity, and with one another. 

Kesher is jointly operated by Congregations Beth El and Beth Israel in Bangor.

LIBRARY

Ours is the only accredited Jewish library in the state of Maine. Sponsored by the Jewish Community Endowment Associates, the library is open to the Jewish community of Bangor as well as to Beth El members. From Torah commentaries to New York Times bestsellers, our library has something for everyone. Come peruse our selection of canonical and contemporary texts!
